Festive Looks That Will Have You Party Ready
Seeing as the long awaited John Lewis advert has hit our screens, we are now clearly on our way to Christmas! With a slight sprinkling of festive feeling in the air I wanted to share with you some quick and easy tricks to get you party ready!
1. False lashes
For some the idea of false lashes may be very daunting, but the variety available out there is unbelievable! Why not try smaller accent lashes, such as the Eylure x Emma Willis range. The fact that the lashes are slim and placed on the outer corners of the eyes make them a lot easier to apply. The results also look super natural, leaving you with a sultry set of lashes!
2. Green smoky eye
The festive season calls for a green smoky eye! Choosing a deep emerald shadow with a touch of shimmer will look stunning and a great alternative to the usual black found with smoky eye make-up looks. If shadows aren’t your thing you can always try a green eye liner instead, Urban Decay 24/7 pencils are creamy and stay put all night! Try blending out the pencil liner with a fluffy brush to give an effortless smoky look.
3. Highlight Glow
Whether you are an expert or novice, highlight is a simple way of adding a little extra, luxurious finish to your make-up. Essence Glazed Donut highlight gives the most beautiful glow and the price is very purse friendly! Apply the powder onto the high points of your cheeks, bridge of your nose and temples, it will leave you with a subtle luminosity. To give your highlight real intensity try wetting the brush before using the powder!
4. Give the contour a miss
Contouring is a fantastic for adding dimension to the face, but at times can become a bit much once you apply your blusher and highlight. Why not give it a miss and instead use highlighter and blush to shape your cheeks. Aiming the colour of your blusher in the apples of your cheeks, blending the colour up onto your cheek bones will lift the face and look super natural, leaving you with a healthy flush. You won’t need a lot of product to achieve the look, deep berry tones work fabulously too, why not try Mac’s powder blush in Sketch.
5. The extra sparkle
Red lipstick is a given for Christmas time, remember not to limit yourself to certain colours. You can always decide to go for a dark burgundy or perhaps a shimmery gloss. One trick you can do to really give your lips the wow factor is by making your teeth brilliant white. Try Procoal’s charcoal teeth whitening powder which helps remove stains for a remarkable smile, it’s easy to use and you see results instantly!
