The Organic Space

Hi Diana,

Tell us about your business and the type of products you sell?

Here at The Organic Space, we’re trying to sell a large variety of 100% organic products made by smart and passionate people, that run their small business in a very creative way with little resources, just using natural material that are grown in their back garden in Uk. ‍

We choose the products that we believe in and add them onto our website and social platforms, this is how we want to create a powerful story and build an emotional connection with people from all around the world. ‍

The ORGANIC Space promotes not just products, but also promotes the right way to a sustainable world where we all can be more considerate and think twice when we want to buy something …the eco – friendly lifestyle makes us part of the solution in fighting environmental issues and we can make this possible by using natural made products, it’s our responsibility to leave the planet safe and healthy for our children and future generations. Our posts should capture people’s hearts and by telling our story we can influence their minds…. ‍

We work very closely with all our suppliers to always finds innovative ways in how to recycle the recipients of their products and reduce global waste as much as possible by keeping competitive prices.

How did you come up with the idea and what motivated you to go for it?

I ran a mobile creche before and because of COVID – 19 the event industry had to stop, I always wanted to have an online shop. This was the time when I said this is it, I have to start from somewhere and I started to contact small businesses that produce organic products and build the e-commerce to help parents, families and people to choose natural products and choose a healthy lifestyle. I pivoted to this business with children and parents in mind 🙂

What is your best selling product?

Grace and Green Tampons and Made for Life products which are sensational.

What do you love about running your own business and what do you find hard?

I love trying the products and adding them onto the website if I really like them, I love to see how a simple product in a great package with a nice and clean smell makes people happy and protects the world we’re all sharing.

The hardest thing I find being in this business is to catch my audience attention with my intentions and promote my website more, I’m just self -educating myself how to make my business more visible, but I’m getting there. 🙂

What kind of BossMum are you and how do you manage the juggle?

Well, where should I start? As the event industry, is in a “coma” at the moment, I just need to keep my Jumping Stars Mobile Creche alive and keep in touch with the government requirements and communicate with the brides and event organisers about any changes.

Having said that, this is a good reason to have more time to dedicate to this new adventure, the e-commerce, The Organic Space. but I have also had to take a temporary nanny/ governess job to be able to pay my bills, which I really enjoy BTW. Myself and the loved ones are healthy so life is good.

What surprising lessons have you learned along the way?

After this pandemic, it’s hard to say that something else could surprise me. But I could share a few things that I’ve learned in the last few months and that may be of use to you. I learned that life is short, I’ve learned that you’re not going to take anything with you when you’re doing to die and it’s worth trying to reach your dream by starting to take any small action rather than regretting not even trying.

Ohh, I’ve just read my answer to this question and it’s so dramatic, I’m so sorry about it, but the conclusion is: Keep challenging yourself, nobody will do it for you. be in charge of your destiny, keep pushing, embarrassing yourself and embrace the weird way you grow. We’re all unique and we should not be judged, but if we’re judged it’s not our fault.

Do you have a favourite app or work tool you think everyone should know about?

Favourite Apps: Spotify and Overcast.

App Work Tools: Google Drive and Health or Headspace (to see the patterns in your productivity)

How do you define success?

This is a big question. Success for me is when I walk with my walking frame to the orphanage centre that I will build with all the profit money from my two businesses The Organic Space and the Jumping Stars will deliver.

In my personal, honest opinion, success is when a person does something for the society that she/he lives in without any effort and without expecting any material rewards or any type of rewards back. Something seemingly from their deep soul.

What is a normal day in your life like?

Waking time: 6am – exercise – meditate – coffee – emails – brunch -meetings – zoom conferences – seeing clients etc – dinner – cycling – shower 🙂 – TV time (documentaries)/reading/socialising etc

What has been a particular highlight for you since starting your business?

Seeing the parents/clients facial expressions when I recommend them the organic products listed on The Organic Space Limited and how they can de-stress in these uncertain times we are all alive.

What’s next for your business?

Open a physical space in a great area with open-minded people that are willing to adopt a healthy lifestyle which includes cycling, healthy food and drinks, organic products and children’s activities using reusable and sustainable materials.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?

My fiancé Costa (12 years together and still going strong) once said “it’s better regretting something that we’ve tried than not trying at all” and this is staked to my head.

What advice would you give someone who was thinking about setting up their own business?

Just go for it, it will be hard, you will want to quit, you will cry and get frustrated but keep going and take any little small steps that your instinct is trying to guide you. Take actions and you’ll be surprised how rewarding and fulfilling it will feel. Its a unique feeling that you’re going to create something out of nothing and its the best feeling in the world. Trust me.

What is your favourite Social Media platform and how has it helped in your success?

I know it may not be a very popular platform, not even sure if it’s even a social media platform, but I just love it, it is MEDIUM.

Who inspires you?

Parents/ families that are just doing such a great job without knowing and my grandmother that passed away a long time ago, she’s my angel, my North Star, my “why”, my everything ……

What was your dream job growing up?

A lawyer, because everything around me was so unfair :))

What do you enjoy most about being a part of Mama Tribe?

The community, the team and the human approach …

Thanks for giving us an insight into life behind The Organic Space Diana, we love having you as a Member of the Tribe.
