Welcome to Hoogalyfe
Day to day I’m a full time Project Manager in the Packaging Industry, and Mummy to a cheeky little man named Oliver.
During a conversation with my husband a few months ago I was bemoaning the ‘monotony of mum life’ so, among other things, he suggested getting a hobby. At the time I said I didn’t have a particular skill or talent, but he disagreed and ultimately this is how Hoogalyfe was born
I have always gotten great pleasure out of gifting, and over the years I’ve gained a bit of a reputation among friends and family for finding really unique and unusual presents. I don’t believe gifts should just be for special occasions, my favourite kind is just to let someone know you’re thinking of them. I particularly enjoy supporting small businesses, especially those which are female-led.
Via Hoogalyfe I offer a virtual gift sourcing service which is particularly aimed at those who are time poor, can’t physically get out to go shopping, or are just simply stuck for ideas and looking for inspiration.
I will ask for a brief telling me recipient, age, occasion, interests, and giving a general budget & then send back a personalised pdf with suggestions and links for where to buy. I am not affiliated with any of the brands I recommend, and I do not charge a fee for myself.
I didn’t want to go down the route of setting myself up as a ‘business’ as such, so in return for my services I ask for a discretionary donation to one of 3 good causes that are close to my heart; The National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACOA), The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust and The Miscarriage Association.
