Tribal Gatherings are social events hosted by Mama Tribe and in collaboration with other small businesses and groups, across the UK.
On Saturday night…
A bunch of current and prospective Mama Tribers gathered at Marta’s – a.k.a. Mummy’s Little Chef – quite frankly gorgeous house in SE London. The first thing I wanted to know is where all her daughter’s toys were (upstairs) and the second thing was how soon can we tuck into the food (very!).
Marta had spent the afternoon cooking up a storm, and on the Mediterranean inspired menu for us was Pesto Pasta Salad, Frittata, Gazpacho, Rosemary Bread-sticks, Artisan Bread, Vol au Vents, Shortbread and Lemon & Coconut Cupcakes. All washed down with homemade lemonade and prosecco. Phew!
We also got a cooking demonstration of the Italian classic Meatballs. NOT to be had with spaghetti if we want to be authentic, this is a main dish and one I will definitely be cooking for the family this week. They were just as delicious as everything else.
To top off the evening there was a raffle and a goody bag full of treats all donated by other Mama Tribe members. Thanks to everyone who was involved!
I, for one, am really looking forward to the next Tribal Gathering near me!
