Wandering Eve

Hi Victoria,

Tell us about your business and the type of products you sell?

Wandering Eve™ is a unique line of maternity clothing which combines bohemian vibes, flowing fabrics, and exquisite British-made quality.

How did you come up with the idea and what motivated you to go for it?

Wandering Eve™ came about after I struggled to find maternity clothes that embodied my bohemian style, whilst also offering comfort, fun and freedom. Disillusioned with what the high-street had to offer, in October 2018 I launched a brand which celebrates the individuality of free-spirited souls and moulds to changing body shapes during pregnancy, nursing and beyond.

What is your best selling product?

The Wrap Dress – so versatile and perfect for pregnancy, breastfeeding and beyond.

What do you love about running your own business and what do you find hard?

I love the creative flair of my business and being able to implement initiatives so quickly, without needing several layers of sign off. My biggest struggle is that sometimes I am lonely however this is why the Mama Tribe has been so great in driving engagement with other like minded business owners and mums.

What kind of BossMum are you and how do you manage the juggle?

The juggle is hard but the reason I chose to start my own business so was that I could have flexibility in the hours I worked and could have more quality time with my little girl.

What surprising lessons have you learned along the way?

If you want something and push hard enough, it will happen. I’ve had some fantastic PR off the back of contacting magazines and selling them the vision of my brand.

Do you have a favourite app or work tool you think everyone should know about?

Planoly and Canva are brilliant for managing your social media and creating artwork.

How do you define success?

My families happiness defines success for me. After having my little girl I quickly realised that health and happiness are the key to success.

What has been a particular highlight for you since starting your business?

Being recognised on the ‘Top 40 Womenswear brands’ by Make it British. This is such a great acknowledgement given I have been in business for less than a year.

What advice would you give someone who was thinking about setting up their own business?

Do the research and go into your business with great USPS.

What is your favourite Social Media platform and how has it helped in your success?

Instagram of course, it is so big for the fashion industry and influencers.

Who inspires you?

My incredible girlfriends – after all, your vibe attracts your tribe.

What was your dream job growing up?

I wanted to be a vet, however I love animals so much I hate seeing them in pain.

Tell us 3 facts about you…
  1. I have the massive travel bug, so much so I moved from Australia to England 10 years ago with a backpack and am still here.
  2. I’m addicted to snowboarding.
  3. I love fire twirling, however these days I need to ensure my daughter is no where near me when I attempt it.
What do you enjoy most about being a part of Mama Tribe?

Engaging with inspiring women who are also juggling families and their own small business.

Thanks for giving us an insight into life behind Wandering Eve Victoria, we love having you as a Member of the Tribe.
